Mourning Ceremony Held at Kowsar Cultural Center in Istanbul for Prophet Muhammad and Imams

The ceremony featured a keynote address by Hojatoleslam Sheikh Qadir Akaras, head of the Union of Ahlulbayt Scholars of Turkey.

Hawzah News Agency – A mourning ceremony marking the passing of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the martyrdom anniversaries of Imam Hassan Mojtaba (AS) and Imam Reza (AS) was held at the Ahlulbayt Mosque of the Kowsar Cultural Center in Istanbul.

The ceremony featured a keynote address by Hojatoleslam Sheikh Qadir Akaras, head of the Union of Ahlulbayt Scholars of Turkey.

Speaking on the lives of the three revered figures, Akaras said no amount of effort can fully capture the depth of their character and status.

He described mercy and compassion as the most outstanding qualities of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), noting that the Prophet was sent at a time when many evils had become normalized and hearts had grown hard, tasked with guiding humanity through mercy and love.

Imam Hassan: Symbol of Wisdom, Imam Reza: Embodiment of Compassion

Akaras referred to Imam Hassan (AS) as a symbol of wisdom, explaining that wisdom prepares the human intellect to accept truth. Regarding Imam Reza (AS), he highlighted the Imam's attribute of "Ra'uf" — profound kindness — describing it as a manifestation of the mercy and compassion inherited from the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

He said even a single drop from the ocean of these great personalities' lives is enough to guide a person, adding that their presence and existence are a blessing for humanity.

According to Akaras, the essence of these three qualities lies in guiding people to truth by winning their hearts through mercy and kindness.

The ceremony concluded with elegies and chest-beating rituals.
